Grateful
After my first book came out, in 2015, I was completely consumed with fear. It literally took me over, and I could not commit to the book or to promoting it. All I wanted to do was hide. Some years went by, and I had time. Or I took time, I should say. To reflect, to study, to face old fears and to heal some very old wounds. I discovered working with energy, which turned out to be an amazing (and above all healing) journey.
Today life looks different. A new virus is spreading worldwide. In a time where our world seems consumed with fear, doubts and concerns, I find myself often realizing how thankful I am. Seems like a weird contradiction? Maybe. But the most powerful lesson I have learned over the years is the lesson of choice. You always have a choice. You are free to choose what you focus on. So, today I think I choose gratitude.
I am grateful for all that connects us, all the inspiration that is shared online and a sense of inner peace in the midst of everything that happens. There is my laptop, a beautiful view of the trees outside and a cup of hot coffee as I sit at home at my desk, working.
Yes, I am doing what I never thought I would do. Which is working on a second book. It is about love and relationships. It is based upon the teachings of A Course In Miracles. Another thing to be thankful for. The power of forgiveness; the most healing power we can imagine. To be continued. #SLR
